Training Programme
Training and Extension Division of the Forest Research and Training Centre provide necessary training for the employee of the Ministry of Forests and Environment and Provincial agencies responsible for forestry related matters. Main objectives of the training programme is to enhance the capability of the forestry staffs by improving their knowledge and skills. TED/FRTC designs the training courses as per the capacity building needs of the forestry administration. FRTC has training halls, necessary equipment, labs and library, and skilled qualified personnel. Skilled qualified professionals from other institutions are also invited as a resource persons in the training programmes. Lectures, case studies, discussion sessions and field visits are organized in the training courses. A certificate is awarded to the participants after successful completion of the training program. Training courses are generally conducted at Kathmandu. Training and Extension Division has three sections: Training Section, Curriculum Development Section and Library Section
